On behalf of the Board of Directors, I would like to welcome you to the Wisconsin Child Care Administrators Association. This organization was founded in 1976 to help child care administrators in Wisconsin network with each other, spread the news about issues affecting them, take joint action on advocacy issues, and help administrators find out about classes and training specifically designed to meet their needs.
WCCAA plays a critical role in directing the future of professionalism in child care in Wisconsin by working with our local, state, and federal government officials to educate them about our organization, our members, and our commitment to professionalism and excellence in child care.
The child care industry is facing many challenges at this time. Now, more than ever, child care providers in this state need to unite to have a stronger voice. By joining, you have strengthened our numbers and will help us shape the future of child care in Wisconsin. Your membership is important, because you play a vital role in our quest to influence legislative policies and agendas, form collaborations with other early education organizations, and develop initiatives to support child care both fiscally and professionally.
The Board and I always welcome any ideas you may have for WCCAA. Our bi-monthly Board meetings are open to all members. Thank you for your interest in WCCAA and hopefully your membership. I look forward to meeting you at our annual conference or other child care events.
